Who Qualifies for the Program?

The Sedate-US Sedation Certificate Program is designed for non-Anesthesiologists and non-CRNA providers who want to administer sedation as part of their professional practice and aspire to become Sedationists. 

Qualified participants include:

Physicians & Physician Assistants (PAs)
Nurses (RNs, NPs, etc.)
Dentists & Oral Surgeons
Podiatrists & Other Licensed Healthcare Providers

Necessary Pre-requisites

To enroll in the program, participants must meet the following requirements:

A valid, active medical, nursing, or dental license in their practicing state.
A minimum level of clinical experience in patient care (varies by profession and state regulations).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Completion of any required continuing education (CE) credits for sedation administration.

State-Specific & Federal Compliance Requirements

Laws vary by state and medical board regulations. Participants are responsible for:

Reviewing their state’s sedation guidelines for licensing and compliance.
Ensuring they meet their facilities’ accreditation and CMS standards 
Understanding DEA, FDA and other regulations related to sedatives and controlled substances
